Vidalia® Sweet Onion Gravy

3        cups chopped G&R Vidalia® sweet onions
¼       cup bacon drippings
2        teaspoons salt, or to taste
1        teaspoon pepper
1        cup water
4        tablespoons flour

Place onion and bacon drippings in thick pan or skillet. Add salt and pepper, saute until tops are tender. Let this simmer, then mix flour and enough water to thicken and pour in mixture cooking until gravy reaches thick texture. Serve with rice or toast. Yields 8 to 10 servings.
