Vidalia® Sweet Onions with Mushroom Sauce
4 small G&R Vidalia® sweet onions
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon milk
⅓ stick of butter or margarine
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh sliced mushrooms
In a saucepan, cook onions in butter for a few minutes, add mushrooms and continue cooking until tender then drain. Blend sour cream, milk and salt. Stir mixture over low heat until heated throughout, then add mushrooms and stir consistently. Ladle over onions and garnish with a fluff of parsley. Yields 8 servings.
