GRILLED G&R VIDALIA® ONIONS
WITH STEAK ON THE BARBIE
1 medium to large G&R Vidalia® Onion
Your favorite cut of meat or poultry
The flavor of charbroiled outdoor cooking is not only good with meats but it’s wonderful with G&R Vidalia® Onions! When you add onion slices to your grill, the result is a sweet, smoky taste that works well on a steak, burger, chicken or salad.
Preheat your grill to medium-high and spray or wipe vegetable oil on the grates so the onions won't stick. Choose a medium to large G&R Vidalia® Onion. Remove the ends and make a slit down the side to peel away the outer skin. Cut your onions crosswise into slices, as thick as you prefer and arrange on your grill.
Grill the onion slices for about 12 - 15 minutes or until you have visible grill marks on both sides and the onion is tender. Remove onions from the grill and serve with your favorite meat or salad.
